Groundbreaking for The Sinclair, Gold Coast Apartments
On December 9th, Fifield Companies held an official groundbreaking ceremony for The Sinclair. The stretch of recently cleared land on Division between Clark and LaSalle will look dramatically different in 2017 when a brand-new Jewel-Osco and a 35-story glass tower are delivered. Guests at the groundbreaking at 1201 N. LaSalle Street included: the architects from SCB, an overall-clad Benny The Bull, real estate industry members, and Commissioner of the Department of Buildings for the city of Chicago, Judy Frydland.
Only steps from the CTA’s recently reconstructed Clark/Division station, this development is a joint partnership with Jewel, and “enhances what Carl Sandberg envisioned for the the neighborhood, ” said developer Randy Fifield. In the past decade, Fifield Companies has led the way for Chicago’s rental development, especially in the Kinzie Station neighborhood where they built five properties. Each luxury high-rise contributed to the amenities race, with amazing amenities for residents, like indoor basketball courts, private massage rooms, gorgeous pool decks with cabanas, and extended pet spaces and services. At the ceremony, Steve Fifield expressed his belief in developing buildings for people who are “renters by choice.”
Chicago’s renters will undoubtedly be impressed by The Sinclair’s luxurious finishes and amenities. Once completed, the 390-unit apartment building will offer floor plans ranging from convenient studios to expansive four bedrooms. The Gold Coast apartments will feature plank flooring throughout, Nest programmable thermostats, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances.
With over 36,000 square feet of amenities and interior finishes from the Holly Hunt show room, The Sinclair’s common spaces will give residents a variety of choices to entertain or relax outside their apartment. The two most popular amenities will not disappoint; the fitness club will be stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and a yoga/barre studio, while the outdoor pool and spa will include cabanas and outdoor grills with secluded seating areas.
