One block north of Chicago Avenue, Chestnut Tower sits on a quiet, tree-lined street in the Gold Coast neighborhood. The dog-friendly property opened in 2001 and has recently renovated their apartments and amenities. From studios to three bedrooms, each open floor plan features hardwood floors, granite countertops, and washer/dryer in-unit. With 230 units, the high-rise offers a small community vibe, which is reflected in the amenity spaces. Residents have full access to a fitness center, dog park, cyber cafe, lounge, and rooftop deck. While newer luxury apartment buildings have sprouted up around Chestnut Tower in the last few years, Chestnut Tower has remained a favorite at Luxury Living Chicago for its large floor plans, great location and established sense of community.

Sam Kahn: The proximity to the brown/red lines from Chestnut Tower make this building very desirable for those who commute to work.  The updated renovations include hardwood flooring, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances really make this building a great long-term leasing option!

Julie Markowitz: I love the location of Chestnut Tower, right between Gold Coast and River North. It’s an easy walk to grocery stores, bars, nightlife and restaurants.

Jill Casey: My favorite part of Chestnut Tower is their spacious floor plans with beautiful views.

Tamara Hirsch: Chestnut Tower is a great building because of their traditional layouts. Since the building opened in 2001, the layouts are more spacious and can accommodate larger pieces of furniture.  The building has been upgrading their units to keep up with modern styles so as an added bonus to the space, you have all of the must-have upgrades and for those that really liked to entertain – select units have wine coolers.

Elise Kaufmann: Chestnut Tower finished renovating all of their amenity spaces this year and they did an awesome job. The rooftop deck and lounge are the perfect spot to host friends to grill out or watch a game.

Axel Cohen: My favorite thing about Chestnut Tower is their floor plans. From their studios all the way up to their three bedrooms, a lot of time and thought was put into the way everything is designed and laid out. The functional floor plans leave very little to the imagination.

Darrell Scott: its location on the edge of River North, Gold Coast, and Old Town.  Perfect for dog lovers with one of the largest fenced in dog-runs in the city.
