Supply of New West Loop Apartments Increases with Rapid Development
Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood is developing rapidly, which has created a dramatic increase in the number of new luxury apartments being built. The development includes more than West Loop apartments; Google is building a new office at 1000 W. Fulton and the Bennet Day School broke ground last week at 955 W. Grand. Of course, the West Loop is home to the growing Restaurant Row and now offers residents many grocery options: Jewel-Osco, Mariano’s, Target, plus a Whole Foods in 2015. Many new apartment buildings opened this year, like Catalyst and Madison Aberdeen Place, and 2015 will bring hundreds of additional units to market.
At 1164 W Madison, The Madison at Racine opened this fall. This luxury property offers convertibles, one and two bedroom apartments. Units feature plank hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, quartz kitchen countertops, ample closets, washer/dryer and 9 foot ceilings. The Madison at Racine is a full-amenity building with a rooftop pool deck with a hot tub, fire pit, lounge areas, and grilling stations. Residents will also enjoy the club room with billiards and a catering kitchen, state-of-the-art fitness center, and the large fenced-in private dog park.
Opening in spring 2015, Arkadia Tower will deliver 350 apartments at 765 W. Adams. Studio, one and two bedrooms are now available for pre-leasing. These West Loop apartments will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, white quartz countertops, and wide-plank flooring. Arkadia Tower will have similar amenities to The Madison at Racine- with the addition of an outdoor yoga studio.
An expansion upon 123 Sangamon, will provide 104 new West Loop apartments at 922 W. Washington as Circa 922. The floor plans include studio, one, two and three bedroom units, which will be available in January. This boutique building will have an unusual amount of amenities, spanning over 7,000 square feet. Circa 922 will offer an outdoor pool, business center, fitness room, theater room, breakfast cafe, and resident lounge.
Now pre-leasing for January 1, Warren Ashland Place is a boutique building of two bedroom West Loop apartments. These luxury units feature a gourmet chef’s kitchen, bamboo hardwood floors, custom designer paint, crown molding and up to ten-foot ceilings. Each bedroom has a custom designed closet with ample shelving and storage. All apartments include a balcony or outdoor space, washer/dryer in unit, plus an assigned parking space in the attached, heated garage.
