Things to Do in Chicago: West Town Art Walk
The 6th Annual West Town Art Walk is taking place this weekend on Chicago Avenue from September 30th to October 1st. West Town is a vibrant and lively community with a large variety of shops, bars, and dining opportunities. The perfect event for an early fall weekend, the Art Walk is a celebration of community business and local art.
Different forms of art, music, and fashion from Chicago artists will be displayed in shops, restaurants, and bars along Chicago Avenue. Additionally, 15 retailers will be hosting complimentary beer tastings and those who stop by every location are qualified to enter the West Town Art Walk raffle. Free rickshaws are available throughout the art walk to provide easy and convenient transportation. Family-friendly events will occur throughout the weekend, such as Art in the Park and the West Town Art Car Show on Saturday from 12-6PM.
The Art Walk is running simultaneously with the West Town Food Truck Social, which will be occurring on Noble Street between Chicago and Chestnut. Patrons are encouraged to grab food while browsing the art selection. There will be more than 15 food trucks to choose from including: Carnivale, The Happy Lobster, Tamale Spaceship, and Pierogi Wagon.
Many after parties with beverages and live music will be held on Friday following the art walk at Seek Vintage, Chicago Truborn, Open Source, Dovetail, Beauty Bar Chicago, Defibrillator Gallery, and Team Art.
Luxe on Chicago‘s leasing office will be open all weekend during the Art Walk, so stop by to tour one of the brand-new, luxury West Town apartments. Current pricing for two bedrooms starts at $2421 and three bedrooms range from $2741 – $2786.
